WHO IS BOB?A newly formed nonprofit organization, Bonding over Books, Inc. (BoB) promotes bonding within families and
across peer groups by sparking a passion for reading. BoB
believes that reading should be active rather than passive, inspiring
discussion, debate, and the creation of new works of art. In an
effort to bring children’s favorite literature to life, BoB organizes fun and
educational events -- what we call Family Fantasy Camps -- that allow families
to explore together the world of a popular book or author. Enlightening 2007
(E7), BoB's first family camp, will explore the world of magic in literature and include viewing the newly released film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and discussing and debating the much-anticipated book release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Based in Chapel Hill, NC, BoB has plans for future family camps and events that feature the works of C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, Lemony Snicket, and Shakespeare. Check out the BoB Web site for more information about future camps and to join the mailing list. |
