Registration for Enlightening 2007 is now open. Due to space constraints at the location of our Welcoming and Closing Feasts, we only have space for 360 attendees (which translates to approximately 80-90 families). We therefore recommend registering as early as possible to guarantee your family's spot.

Who may attend E7?

Enlightening 2007 is designed as a family event. While of course we embrace families of any type or compostition, we do have a rule that anyone under the age of 18 must attend with a parent or legal guardian, or else attend with a chaperone who is at least 21 years old (with a signed parental permission form).

What is included in the registration fee?

All formal programming within the age category selected for that person on the registration form
All informal programming -- including games, activities, readings, tournaments, performances, etc.-- with the exception of the movie tickets and any related transportation costs.
All PremiereFest activities Friday evening, including VIP seating for the MuggleCast live podcast and Wizard Rock concert starring The Moaning Myrtles.
A hearty Welcoming Feast, served family-style in the Great Hall (Penn's Hall of Flags) Thursday evening
A Closing Feast brunch, featuring traditional English breakfast fare, Sunday morning

How much does Enlightening 2007 cost?

The registration fee for attending Enlightening 2007 starts at $275 per person for those who register by September 30, 2006, and will increase as the camp draws nearer (see Price Calendar below). All fees are due when registering if paying by credit card or within 30 days of registering if paying by check.

For those who prefer not to pay the full amount when registering, we are offering the option of paying only a 50% deposit at the time of registration; however, an additional $50 charge per person will be assessed when choosing this payment option. The balance must be paid in full before April 1, 2007; failure to do so will result in cancellation and the registration will be released for sale to the public. As with the full payment option, the deposit is due when registering if paying by credit card or within 30 days of registering if paying by check. The Price Calendar below outlines the registration fee per person when paying in full or paying by deposit.

Price Calendar

All deposits and payments are non-refundable. The registration, however, may be transferable if we have a wait list for the event or if you find someone through our E7 Yahoo! Group or through word of mouth who would be willing to take your place. We will be happy to assist in the transfer in any way we can, as we do not want to be stuck with empty seats any more than you want to be stuck with a registration you cannot use. How do I register for Enlightening 2007?

Our registration system is operated by 123Signup. By clicking on the Register Now link, you will be transferred to their secured site where you may fill out the online registration form and either pay by credit card or indicate that you wish to mail us a check. If you prefer not to register online, you may do so over the phone by calling Bonding over Books at 919-968-9916.

When registering online, the system will give the option to either pay in full or pay by deposit in order to determine which fee to charge. Please note that if you choose to pay by deposit, the system will calculate the deposit amount (50%) you owe at the time of registration (not the total charge for registration). The amount you are charged during registration if paying by deposit equals half of your total registration amount. The remaining half is due by April 1, 2007.

Simply enter the number of registrations (one for each family member attending) you wish to purchase for the payment method of your choice. By clicking in the Total box, you will see the amount you owe at the time of registration. You will then be asked to enter your contact information as well as the names and desired programming category for each family member (including yourself) attending E7. The next screen is a brief questionnaire we ask you to fill out to help us determine the number of shuttles and hotel and dormitory rooms we need to reserve. You may return to the system to edit your registration information at any time using the password you create.

Upon registering, your email address will be added to the E7 mailing list to receive messages about any updates to our site -- including lodging details, guest speakers and readers, PremiereFest, shuttle schedules and tickets, and any paperwork that must be filled out in advance.
